You’re so pretty. The best part about this drawing is what I was listening to ++ Harry Belafonte - The Calypso Album, on vinyl.
Brush Pen on paper.

So this marks the beginning of my intent to keep a 365 Day Sketch Blog. To make it official, here this day, February 11th….!!!
Everyday I will be uploading a new drawing, illustration, or doodle. My intention is to draw anything that comes to mind, using traditional or digital materials that takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete, perhaps less. I’ve been inspired by artists like Pascal Campion, and Brittany Lee who I met this past year at the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco. They are so talented it makes my toes tingle, and to boot, such nice people. My good friend Cat Farris has also been doing her own 365 Sketch Blog. She recently wrote about her desire to be more relevant in her studio through her drawings. I think that’s my intention as well. I would like to think, by creating a bigger body of work and not being afraid to put it out there as I have been in the past, I too can become just a little more relevant. I’m also hoping along the way to improve my skills and explore different mediums and subjects. I look forward to any feedback of any kind, and sharing my art with you.

For this first illustration, I went over my time. It took me 2 hours to complete. It is a digital illustration using Photoshop only. I had no reference, and began to draw something entirely different, then it turned into this little moon faced boy who looks an awful lot like my friend Noel… (if he also had no hair when he was little.. :)
